Dishonest and should be shut down…where are government protections??

Dec 2022: in Oct and Dec 2022, i had mortgage payments set up online, & ended up logging back into the CM site a week or 2 later and rescheduling them for a different date. However, both months, CM attempted to debit my account twice, once for the date i had approved and the other time for the date of the original payment which i had changed. Ultimately, i was placed on ‘certified funds only payments’ due to their website error, AND i was charged $132 in OD fees. I called in to CM several times re this issue, spoke with numerous people, and they said that i should have called in to cancel those original payment, WHAT?? I would assume changing the date would have taken care of it, and I was never notified of this by email alert, letter, etc Also, the person i spoke to said that I had authorized the 2 payments for the months of Oct and Dec…no, i did not. I changed the dates on them, but did not authorize 2 payments. Also, what really makes no sense is that CM’s website will not allow me to schedule 2 payments in a given month, if i try to i get an error message saying ‘only one payment allowed to be scheduled at one time.’ So how in the heck were 2 payments scheduled?? Also, NOWHERE did in say in my CM account that 2 payments were set up, anywhere. This is just wrong in EVERY way!
