During this pandemic, I was offered a 3 month deferment and was told I wouldnt have to make a mortgage payment for 3 months........great I accepted. In those 3 months I managed to pay one month. During that entire time I recieved so many letters in the mail....many saying my mortgage payment is late....remember I was given a 3 month deferment. Another letter saying the lump amount I would have to pay at the end of this deferment and another saying ...again my mortgage payment was LATE and if I didnt pay it by such & such a date my home would go into forclosure!!! ??? Again, remember I was given a deferment! Not only were these letters upsetting and threatening but a plain harrassment and wrongfully done! Close to the end of the 3 month deferment I was given a called from Carrington to make a game plan as to how I would take care of the lump sum owed! I was offerd to tack it onto the end of my mortgage and a few other options. I decided to take care of it on a date we both agreed to. A week later I get another call again asking me how I plan to bring my mortage current.......I let them know I've ALREADY taken care of this. A few days later I get a "Certified Letter" stating my house will go into forclosure if I don't make my mortgage payment!!! WTH. What a waste of everybodies time and efforts repeating all this shit! Oh it gets better. I get my credit scores from a credit card company....... my credit score went from 830 to 680 !!!!!!! And WHY because Carrington screwed me!!!!!! They make you an offer for 3 months derferment, I only took 2 months AND they screw up my credit showing that I missed a payment??????? WOW. I immediately called Carrington, asked for a supervisor right a way & explained everything.....main thing: my credit! I was told they would "fix it" bymid July.....lets see what actually happens!
I've been with Carrington (NOT by choice, they bought out my BofA mortgage) for over 5 years and NEVER missed a payment, nor ever late in those 5 years!!!! And this is how they treat their good customers???
