Watch out for California Computer Center: they will bill your credit card immediately, then take their sweet time getting the order out (a week), leaving you in the dark the whole time as to when it will be shipped, let alone arrive. (You will be given shipping info on the date your order is to arrive.) Even worse, this is a company that sees a simple “we’re sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced, yes, there’s room for improvement on our side” as beneath it. If saying the simple words “we’re sorry” violates the company’s business philosophy, one can only imagine what will happen when a customer – CCC dispute is over something a lot more serious (e.g., money, defective goods). Never, ever, ever have I dealt with a company that didn’t at least make the effort to mollify its customer, whether the customer is right or not. Especially in these economic times, where the competition for customers is great, there is no way I will ever spend money again at California Computer Center: I will gladly place my orders with companies that know something about keeping their customers happy, to give customers a reason to come back (and by the way, with companies that, like CCC, do not charge sales tax or shipping). I can only wish CCC good luck in surviving these tough economic times.
