I really had my hopes up about doing the right thing starting with C&R Loan Modifications. Unfortunately, I too have been let down hard. The modification was approved in March of this year, but have still not had a settlement as of today 10/28/2009. I paid the $1500 fee in separate payments, and was also told not to contact the lender, so there would be no confusion or misunderstanding. Another lender has taken over the loan and has been sending notices and letters that I have forwarded to C&R. Today, I have not been able to contact anyone at all from C&R. One of the phone numbers has been temporarily disconnected and the other just beeps instead of ringing. I tried going to their website, but keep getting timed-out, because the response takes too long to connect. So, needless to say, I am extremely late on payments to the point of probably not getting caught up, I am out the $1500 that I faithfully spent for help, and don't know where to go, or what to do from here. Also, I have learned today that their BBB score is an F. Anyone considering C&R? Don't even go there!
