About a month ago, I spotted a swarm of bees next to my chimney in front of the house. They were going in and out of a hole where the stand-alone chimney meets the house. I then went online and looked for bee removal services. After trying a few other companies, I found Bee Professionals, Inc. I gave them a call, and they sent over a friendly professional named Matt. He inspected the hole, and confirmed my suspicions that there indeed was a hive in there. He said I could either: 1) apply his pesticide and then caulk up the holes in the chimney, or 2) remove the chimney brick by brick to remove the hive. He informed me that Option #2 was very expensive, and that Option #1 would work because the hive was in the chimney. ( The hive wasn't near enough to the house to damage the walls and ceilings with melted honey.) He applied the bee pesticide, and told me to caulk up the holes. His excellent, and timely service cost $150. At the time, little did I know that I would require his services again.
Fast forward: The bees had returned and this time they weren't just outside, but they were inside the living room and the hallway. I was quite worried for my family, and my small dog which lives inside the house. I called Bee Professionals at around 5:30 of that afternoon, and they assured me that Matt would drop by again during the following morning. On the 26th, Matt came by and he checked the attic to make sure there were no bees in there. He told me that a swarm might have been attracted to they remaining honey. He asked me if I had caulked the chimney, and I sheepishly replied that I had forgotten to do so. Matt said it wasn't a problem and he applied some more pesticide on the chimney. He recommended a specific caulk brand and went on his way. The best part was that his 2nd visit did not cost me anything.
I highly recommend Bee Professionals. They provide honest, consistent, and superb service in a timely manner. They also have a 30 day guarantee where if bees return within 30 days of their last visit, they'll come back at no charge to take care of bee problems. Thanks Matt and Bee Professionals!
