Just don't refinance with BOA-your health will suffer, you will pay $400 for nothing, you will never see yourself get a cheaper rate even if it goes down because they'll lock you in at your initial rate forever. Yes, it is all true: information you forward is lost, ignored, you get no calls back and you will be surprised at settlement with unnecessary insurance coverage mandated by BOA. I can't say if it is because the Charlotte branch is being closed, or because of the lawsuit, or because the sales people hand off to the processors who are overworked. It may be all of those things. Bottom line: BOA is not accountable to you, they don't want to be, and they offer you service that they themselves would never find acceptable. While in process, your processor can ask you anything at all about your finances-even requesting copies upon copies of check receipts. Several months will go by and you will be in limbo. It's ugly. Don't work with them.
