The Atlas Auto Shipping Company of North Carolina (888) 285 2706 promised to ship my vehicle from Detroit Mi 48217 to Las Vegas Nevada 89107 for 649.00 on October 24th 2010. I paid 149.00 them with a visa card number 4416 6980 0442 0809 Exp 06 13. The visa card transaction referance number 24129420298100002245608At that time a lady named Patricia (424) 204-9219 promised that in a timely manner within the week a tractor trailer would be picking up my 1956 ford thunder bird. Well after contacting her by phone for 3 weeks and getting excuses as well as her stating that;’s “It’s usually a quick move”. Now it is the 17th and she tells me that she ‘s sorry that I should send her some correspondence stating that I wanted to cancel the contract when I only Wanted them To HONOR the contract. I told her that I did not want to Wait until the Winter to ship my car because the snow , ice and salt would be more likely in NOVEMBER than October and she said that well it’s going to be clear THIS WEEKEND. But she never said she would ship the car this weekend only that I would get a refund. I am very disappointed and confused. I believe that there was never any intention of shipping the car and they were only interested in holding my 149 dollars as they probably do to many other customers across the country. As of this writing I have only received a letter/e-mail saying that they would make a refund , but I also received a letter/ e-mail saying that my car would be shipped Once they received a payment. Because this business operates over the north American continent , I am forwarding this letter and others to the better business bureau across the 48 states and Canada as well as the Dept of Transportation.
