Review 8/11/2011

I called this appliance repair service on August 2, 2011 and I should have known by the way the man spoke to me not to make an appointment but I went ahead against my instinct. I was not happy with the service and I felt the people I spoke with throughout the week were very rude, condescending, abrupt and misleading in their advertising. The ice maker on my side by side stopped working. I was told service charge would be $29.95 and then the service person would give me a quote before the job began and tell me what the problem was and how much for labor and if necessary parts or I would pay $29.95 for the service call only if I did not want the work done. The man who came out was elderly, incoherent and did not seem knowledable even though the person who answered the phone assured me he was. This service man even asked me for my Kenmore instruction book to guide him along. I step out of the kitchen as not to make him nervous. He vacumn lint behind the grill at the bottom of my refrigerator and said my refrigerator would cool down. He never gave me an estimate before he began the work as was stated by the appointment person and then he charged me $175.00 for his service. I feel that amount was too high for services rendered especially since my problem that I called about was not addressed or fixed. After 3 days the ice maker still does not work. I spoke with the manager, Ross and he told me it would be another service call if we didn't want the work done or whatever the cost to fix the ice maker. Why would I pay again? Doesn't the 30 day warranty on labor count for anything? The manager was rude, not respectful and had no knowledge on how to make the customer happy. In fact he said his day was ruined by my phone call since he didn't like my attitude. What about my money that I just wasted? Be forwarned these are not people you want to deal with. Find another appliance repair service. I am sure there are many out there that believe in the customer is always right service and treat you with respect and know how to compromise.
