I was VERY disappointed with Apguard. I am currently having a billing dispute with Apguard. In April 2007, they provided me with an CPAP machine. At the time I received the machine, they told me my co-pay was $200 and the insurance was paying the rest. At that time, I believed that I owned the CPAP machine. The machine never helped my problem but made it worse - I stopped after 2 months. I had no indication from them that the machine was a rental until 18 months later. For 18 months they did not send me a bill, although until Dec. 2007 they were billing my insurance. When my insurance changed in January 2008, they did not call me to either get new insurance info or let me know it was a rental, but let appx $300 a month accrue until September 2008. I requested to come into their store and discuss the dispute. No one at the company was even willing to sign their name to a letter - it was always titles for positions that evidently did not exist in the company. Despite my requests to meet with them, they have sent the bill to a collection agency, rather than meeting with me to try to resolve the bill. If you are going to deal with Apguard, request monthly bills for any amounts owed. Be very careful in any dealings with Apguard. Ask very specific questions about their charges. They use sloppy billing methods that work only in their favor.
