Extremely lacking in project oversight and communication Having recently completed a kitchen renovation with Apex, I can share that the challenges far outweighed the benefits. Customer service is so poor, I would not recommend this company.
Specifically, there was no effective communication of the construction timeline or when work would be performed, most days work did not start until 2pm and you never knew who would show up, the sales contract lacked detail and therefore the project had many steps that needed rework, quoted prices for handyman services were outrageously high, handyman services such as electrical did not appear to be performed by a licensed contractor and required replacement, and the overall project oversight was simply lacking. Many phone calls were required because English is not spoken and construction activities were not coordinated. Also good luck in getting a written warranty as there does not appear to be one, I am still waiting for the lien release, final payment was taken from my credit card without authorization, written correspondence is not returned, I could go on and on...
The worst part is that I do not think Apex even cares... they compete on price not service. Buyer beware. Although I should say that the work was completed to a minimum level of satisfaction, and some of the installers actually did very nice work. However, I believe this company has an inflated ego of itself and fails to recognize the level of effort needed to meet a customers needs. Next time I will choose Ikea.
