We had a wedding reception on the Anticipation V yacht. The captain was rude more than once. Items were missing from the menu and we were told we would cruise to Miami and back. We never left the channel and circled around passing the same houses several times.
We paid a $2000 premium for it being on New Years Eve '08. We were rushed, they broke down the tables and threw our favors in a box in which they broke open, candy was all in the bottom of the box and guests did not receive their favors. They booked another cruise after ours and we felt very rushed. We still wanted the use of the dining room after the tables were cleaned off. I was told I would have 15 minutes to remove our items and that would not have been a problem but was not given the courtesy.
The fish as dry, the chairs are not as shown in the pictures and the dance area and upper deck decor is older than the pictures show. They changed the table linen color and I only found out when I asked again 3 weeks before the wedding. We worked on this all year.
The DJ was good, the crew was courteous, the cake was pretty, the weather was perfect.
We did all the planning from out of state so we were a bit sceptical and ready for some disappointments. We didn't have anyone to contact such as this to find out if anyone else had problems. Stefani (reservations) was helpful and friendly.
I sent a nice email afterwards stating we had a nice event although certain things made us (the bride and I) feel we did not get what we paid for and nobody cared enough to respond.
