We were first time home buyers and purchased our home in Highland Park in December 2009 from Greg Toussieng CEO at Americross Real Estate and Mortgage. Greg falsely told us that there was an existing easement that gave us the ability to use a driveway that connected to our rear parking lot area. Shortly after moving in we learned that there was no easement when the owner of the driveway blocked off our access with a fence. Now we have a parking lot that could fit up to six cars that we cannot access.
In the MLS listing for our home, the seller also stated that the house had complete electrical re-wire and re-pipe for plumbing and gas. It also indicated that the house had full copper plumbing and the original 1900s bath tub. These statements all turned out to be false.
It is very disconcerning that we were lied to so extensively by a real estate agent/broker who was also acting as the seller.
