Hi Im Jake, and I had horriable credit from a previous marriage. I was a 402 becon/fico and was trying to get new credit established with companys like cap1, orchard, first primeire, and they all said no, sorry... Even after I had paid all but two of my charge-offs . Then I came across a online ad for American Octain Black Onyx card... It said get up to 10k real unsecured card.
I thought it was a joke but appied anyways. I got approved for 5K ... to my surprise I had to pay af fee of $135.00 to get the card.I called several times in the next two months about the card, They always called me back and kept me informed that the were going throug growing pains, and changing vendors for the cards. To make a long story short, They reported with in 90 days to the credit bureau (TU) , I got my card in 60 days, Yes I would have like it to be quicker , However, after 6 months, with out buying anything from there store,I got approved for another credit card , my score went from a 402 to a 598exf/587tu/602exp. I am not a part of there company and I know no one from there and i have not been paid for this ... NOW...im about to buy my first HOME!!! This has been my experience with American Octane..... Without there taking a chance on me, I Wouldnt have got the other card my score would still be low and would not be getting a home!!!!
