This is one of the worst finance companies out there!!! We purchased a fridge for $1050 and decided to finance it but we were unaware of the "contract terms." We take responsibility for that but what kind of company can be above board when they decide to charge 36 payments of $113.76 after the "discount offer" period ended. My husband was making 2 payments a month of $113.76 and we should have had this fridge paid off after around 12 payments of $113.76, that's 6 months making 2 payments per month that would have paid off this fridge in full if not a bit more. Now when the "discounted offer" period ended we had already paid $910.08 but because we didn't pay off the fridge at the end of this period this company said in the "contract terms" that we had to make additional 36 more payments which totals an additional $4095.36 on top of the $910.08. When my husband and I decided to inquire about this it was already too late and we had made 11 extra payments totaling $1251.36. Now when we called this crooked company they kept telling us that this is what our "contract terms" stipulated. So we then said that we wanted to stop paying this and this ridiculous disgustingly run company said that we could have a pay-off amount of $887.32. So in total we have paid $3,048.76 for a fridge that we bought for $1050 plus taxes, fees and maintenance plan that we can say was around $1200. My review of this company is that it should not be in business and if you work for this company, I have no idea how you sleep at night. This company should not be in business operating that way that it does. This company is just looking for consumers that won't pay attention to the details of what is put in the FINE PRINT of the contract that they sign, trustingly and in good faith that if we make the payments ON-TIME, that we will not be penalized or taken advantage of. You, AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE are one of the most disgusting companies I have ever encountered. I know that this review will not make one difference to you but at least it's out there for other people to read and be aware of what you do to your customers.
