poor communication with the driver

I and my wife needed to ship our cars from LA to Phoenix, so after many searches I called ampm auto transport which was suggested by a friend of mine . He had shipped his toyota camry twice wothout any problem so we decided to call to get a quote.
I called and after almost 10 min hold I have transferred to the sale rep( it was monday, maybe that's why), he was polite, asked many questions about my vehicle and quoted price of $100 more than expected.
He told me that i would not pay extra for sure, while others would probably raise the price, which is common problem in this industry. as my friend's experience went smooth, they didn't raise the price, i decided to go with them.
the sale rep told me i would get a call from the driver a day prior to pick up but i have heard nothing from the driver until the exact day of pickup. I didn't expect this kind of services, however, my car was picked up and delivered without scratches which was my main concern about this shipping process.
