I first looked into using AAA All*Star Discount Auto Transporters in August 2009. Yes, over a year ago. I received an email from them reminding me of my quote on August 9, 2010, and I have received an email from them just about every day since then.
After the second email (received August 11, 2010), I replied asking them to be removed from their email system.
I received another email in August 12, and I decided to call the toll-free number listed in the email to ask them to remove me from their mailing list.
When I called, a man answered and did not identify himself or his company. I asked if this was Paul Baldwin with AAA All*Star Discount Auto Transporters, and he said yes. I told him my name, my email address, and that I wanted to be removed from his emails. Mr. Baldwin hung up on me.
When I called back, I received a voice mail service. I left a message with my name and my email address, and let them know that I wanted to be removed from their mailing list.
I received more emails on August 13, two on the 15th, and another one today, August 16, 2010.
I sent Mr. Baldwin an email on August 14, 2010, letting him know that if he continued to email me, I would report this abuse to the necessary authorities.
I would not recommend this company to anyone based on the way they have treated me, and I have contacted the BBB, The FTC, and the California Attorney General.
