Review 9/3/2010

I had been in a week long application process for a work-at-home opportunity for an office assistant with 21st
Financial Solutions Corporation from Agoura, CA. I initiated my first contact with them on 8/27/10.
I am familiar with the tactics of many of the work-at-home scams and have been suspicious about this
particular company all along. Yesterday they asked me for my checking account information which of
course I did not provide. They wanted me to give it to them verbally over the phone or send it via fax.
Since the beginning of this application process, I have dealt by e-mail with only one person, whose name
she said is Becky Anderson and claims to be the HR Director. That e-mail address is
21stcenturyat@gmail.com. Following my initial contact, most of the communication between this company
and me was over the phone with a man called Robert Olsson, who was supposed to be the Regional
Coordinator to whom I was assigned. His phone # is 818-338-6051. The caller ID says only agoura6, which
I thought was suspicious in itself.
On their otherwise limited and poorly written website at http://www.21stfinsolut.com they clearly boast their
alliance with BDO Seidman and have incorporated a version of their logo. I have contacted that company
and their legal department is taking immediate action as of today.
On the information form (a very unofficial looking Word document) on which I was to furnish my banking
info yesterday, I noted on the bottom a reference to Bregman Financial. When I followed this new clue in
my research for the true nature of this outfit, I began to find negative postings on California companies that
included the name Bregman. It was at that point that I visited the BDO Seidman website and sent an
webmail inquiry to verify their alliance partnership with 21st Financial Solutions. An e-mail I received from
them this morning denies and disputes their affiliation.
I believe I am one of the first to have stumbled on this company and that this scam is probably just getting
off the ground. I attempted to contact the Attorney General's office and the Consumer Affairs department
for the State of California and got no further than their automated customer service options. Neither was
able to provide any information nor was there an option for me to file a complaint.
I am reporting this incident in an effort do my part to warn others like me who are out of work and trying to
find options for generating income. I will post my negative comments all over the Internet and will contact
the BBB in California as well. Hopefully they will prove more useful than the other 2 California agencies.
