Advanced fee credit negotiation is never good news. If you're looking for an attorney in Alabama, you can visit your local BBB website and obtain a list of BBB Accredited Attorneys. Just visit www.bbb.org and type in your ZIP code. You may also wish to file with the state's Attorney General (http://www.ago.state.al.us/) and perhaps a small claims suit to get your money back.

I will try Safetrust. I am not optimistic, because these companies want to settle debt with your money. However, they have no power to stop creditor judgments once they are filed against you, and don't seem to know the protections and repercissions of civil judgments. I would not contact any general attorney referral firm. I can't get help from attorneys personally referred to me that are supposed to be good in Alabama...they just don't know the law, are crooked, lazy, or don't care to help anyone. K.W.

K. W., If I were you I would not put much stock in blatantly commercial responses that appear in this forum from time to time. Check out the BBB report on the company Luis is promoting at http://www.trustlink.org/BusinessProfile.aspx?ID=206037029
They have an F rating. Make sure you click on the debt settlement tag to read up on previous responses on this industry.
Good luck.

K.W,
I think that Luis was not promoting in fact he was just giving you the situation he was in and what help him out and as you can see the BBB not only took out his advice for you to try and push you with there programs that are a product of the banks to keep your money in there pockets not yours. Did look up SAFETRUST and they did help me and made me feel conformable with speaking with them. They do have some complaints on them but if you know math (BBB) you will see that SAFETRUST has many more good complements then bad and 152 complaints VS thousands of stiffed clients
Thanks, ROY
