Does anyone know if a vehicle finance company needs a license from the State of California? Or has anyone had dealing with Topaz Financial in Van Nuys, California?

Hi Gabriela,
Finance lenders and brokers are required to be registered with the Department of Corporations. You can read further on it here: http://www.corp.ca.gov/fsd/lender.asp
Also, it looks like the company has a B- rating with the Colton BBB and 2 complaints on file that they have answered. If you're having an issue with the company, you may wish to try filing a complaint and have the BBB contact them on your behalf. You can file by clicking on "View BBB Report" above and there's a link on the left hand side of the page that says "File a Complaint".
